In Our Parish Trinity Episcopal Church serves the Scituate community in numerous ways. The doors of
Aldrich-Graham Hall are always open to school and service organizations in the town who gladly make use of both the church hall and its kitchen for meetings and suppers. Many of
our parishioners are also very involved in these groups: Soccer Associations, Rainbow, Boy Scouts, Little League, Alcoholics Anonymous, Scituate High School Band Association, etc.
Parishioners also serve a number of area nursing homes by way of visitations, gifts, and
entertainment. At Christmas time families gather to sing carols to residents and other shut-ins, and the ECW sends gifts. In May, the ECW also sends May Baskets filled with treats.
In Our Deanery About every six weeks on a Sunday afternoon, a group of parish volunteers provide their
services to St. George's Soup Kitchen in Central Falls. They cook and serve some 75 healthy, hearty meals to the needy and homeless.
In Our Diocese Our Food Closet, organized by the ECW and filled on an ongoing basis through the
generosity of parishioners, supplies food and household essentials to those in need. Our Young People's Christian Formation and Education provides some 300 pairs of socks
(wrapped with a candy bar) to the homeless at Christmas. The Men's Club bakes apple pies for the Cathedral Meal Site in the fall, and the ECW put together Traveler's Aid Courtesy Bags throughout the year.
In addition to the time and talents parishioners give to others as a part of outreach, each
year Trinity Church appropriates financial resources to donate to various non-profit groups. We remember the words in our Mission Statement, as we seek to "spread the
good new of Jesus Christ by our actions and our words" and "care for those in need."
